Cisco today announced that the Essar Group has deployed Cisco UCS to support the implementation of SAP HANA (High Performance Analytic Appliance). Optimized on the Cisco UCS platform, HANA -- along with SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions -- brings all of the data within the reach of decision makers in seconds, helps enable innovative new applications, and combines high-volume transactions with analytics.

The Cisco Unified Computing System, which is based on industry standards, has met our expectations and we believe that it serves as an ideal server platform for enterprise-critical applications like SAP HANA. With Cisco UCS as the preferred infrastructure choice, Essar plans to roll out SAP HANA across the organization in phases over the next 12 to 18 months.
